This is the beauty haul I came back with from my recent trip to New York and London. Some of you living overseas might not know this, but makeup in Australia can be heavily marked up due to duties and taxes, so when we get a chance to shop beauty products internationally its as though everything is on sale! Its overwhelmingly fun!
I’ve been seeing this shaped brow pencil online from a few brands (hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury, Tom Ford) so became really curious. I found the Hourglass one in Sephora, and HANDS DOWN can say its the best brow pencil i’ve ever tried. The shape of the pencil makes it so quick and easy to shape and fill in the brows evenly. And then the other end of it has the bristles so you can brush them into line.
Nars blush in orgasm might be the most well known blush, simply by its name alone, but until now I had never made the purchase. I’m finding a blush more and more crucial in my routine. Must be the fountain of youth slowly weathering away… lol.
I get some seriously dark circles under my eyes when i’m tired and i’ve tried a few highlighter pens but realised I need something a little heavier to really get the job done. FYI thats the downside to a 24/7 job. I am literally in love with this concealer by Bobbi Brown. On one side it has the creamy concealer and then the other a powder to set it. Its also nice and small so I pop it into my handbag as i can also use it to cover any spots that may pop up during the day as well.
And whats a trip without a lipstick? I don’t think you can have too many natural nude lipsticks (that and neutral nail polishes) and found a lovely one by YSL in a colour called Rose.
I thought my beauty spree was all done but then I got to London and saw there is a Charlotte Tilbury beauty counter in Selfridges! I had only been hearing amazing things, especially about the contouring and highlighting palette, so that was a must, but then I also wanted to try one the eye palette – I chose The Sophisticate but I now also have my eye on The Dolce Vita for something a little different. And then as I was clearly on a spending spree I added a lip pencil in a classic shade Pillow Talk which goes perfectly with the nude YSL lipstick
