Until I have the chance to do some proper outfit posts i'm resorting to using quick snaps from my phone. This is what I have been wearing in the last week and are currently my favourite 'go to' pieces. Yeh those flats are worn with pretty much everything these days!

We're officially back into jean worthy weather now. It's still a little too warm and in between to double up with all the layers, but a singlet is the perfect balance to get you through the silly season... of not knowing exactly how to dress in the mornings!

My belt collection is slowly but surely growing. I have my classic black, a brown croc (pictures to come!) and this black bull horn beauty! I saw it at the store Island Luxe around christmas time when I was up in Byron and my man surprised me with it for my birthday. Obsessed! I love how it can perfectly give wow factor to an otherwise simple outfit.

Also worth a note; leather shorts. I would be lost with my pair I picked up from Zara a few years back. I can't stress enough how important these leather staples are, they really do last the distance and can we worn with pretty much everything.

My boyfriend has made it VERY clear that he hates my boyfriend jeans. I mean, I shouldn't really be surprised, even though they are the most comfortable jeans ever they don't really show off a woman's body, but do you know what, that's exactly why I like them. They actually make me feel empowered! It's so nice not to dress for someone else or in a way to be sexy, and to be able to work a pair of jeans that makes you feel confident and independent is to me the sexiest thing of all.

Any who today is my birthday, which coincidentally enough falls on International Women's Day, so I can pretty much do/wear/say whatever I want... boyfriend jeans, women empowerments and rants included!

I was looking at some past posts and I look soooooo grouchy! Decided to redeem myself with these happy snaps and try to convey how happy I am with finally adding this Khaki silk shirt to my collection. I've had cotton khaki shirts in the past, but sadly they just don't last the distance. Like I said in my last post, this year is about finding, saving and acquiring the pieces that will last and provide the base for my wardrobe.  Then I can add the fun stuff later!
