Something To Look Forward To

Posted on May 25th, 2010

Firstly, I'm sorry! For the last 2-3 weeks I've had no internet, how does this happen in this day and age??? It drove me crazy. I couldn't look at all my favourite blogs let alone upload anything onto Harper and Harley. But the drought is over and signing into Bloglovin' today I see that the sneak peaks of Russh are available. Yay! source: Russh Magazine and Fashion Gone Rogue

Avril Alexander

Posted on May 11th, 2010

One of our favourite Australian girls Avril had a whirl wind of a week at RAFW, showing at Zimmermann, Ellery, and Tsubi just to name a few. She's just taken off for New York so its a very exciting time for her. At just 20 years old she's been the face of many Australian campaigns and I only hope and cross my fingers that the rest of the world will love her as much as we do.

As a sweet and lovely gesture Darren Mcdonald did a video portrait of Avril as a bon voyage gift. Its very beautiful, and he did a really great job.

Wish you all the best Av xo

Bianca Spender Spring Summer 2010 11

Posted on May 6th, 2010

The Bianca Spender show was set up in a long circuit, with the fashion pack lining the catwalk from start to finish. Out of pure luck I managed to grab an amazing spot right at the end of the catwalk with models staring right at me.

The hair and makeup were definitely the highlight, almost turning the models into a mythical half phoenix half Amazonian, with models sporting feather eyebrows and braided hair that then turned into a messy nest with blue and red streaks.

The was Bianca Spender’s first individual show titled ‘Love among the ruins’. The clothes themselves were quite romantic, with Pre Raphaelite draping and a palette of soft nudes and greys, gold and cobalt blue. Chiffon, stiff cotton and rouched silks wrapped around the models, but my favourite was a cream lace jumpsuit that had an incredibly flattering fit, and reminded me of something Stella McCartney would send down the runway.
