Australian sisters Gabrielle, Cheryl and Vanessa Manning are behind the label Manning Cartell that showed today, day three of RAFW2010. Their third consecutive show was inspired by “ink drawings and patterns created by Aubrey Beardsley” and ‘Spanish tales of romance”.

What looked like webbing was created from a fine cotton guipure lace, and was a consistent feature throughout.

I must apologise, I’m not too sure what I did to my camera (I’m still in my learning phase) between the Kate and Manning show, but not many turned out. Luckily I was able to salvage a few.

New Zealand designer Kate Sylvester’s show This Charming Man this morning was beautiful, with Kate describing the collection as “a mash-up of tough tomboys and romantic, swoony poets”. My favourite elements had to be the big white bows around the models necks and the sock garters.

The show mixed feminine and masculine really well, having soft flowing fabrics, wooden heels and long brushed hair (the feminine) while also displaying flat loafers and strong pulled back hair tied into a bun (the masculine). *click here for more of my photos of the shows*

Not RAFW related at all, but came across and loved it.

PART ONE: THE PORTRAITS.

When I found out I was going to the Zimmermann show I was so excited, a) because it’s one of my all time favourite brands, and b) because they always put on an amazing show. But sometimes when you have high expectations you can be left feeling a bit let down, thankfully this was definitely not the case, as it managed to fill my ridiculously high expectations and left me very satisfied indeed.

Building upon their use of lattices in past collections, they took it further by creating whole tops and dresses out of this design, and paired them with beautiful pastel paint drip and floral leggings. Again they’ve gone for high waisted bikini bottoms, and one pieces. No triangles bikinis were seen at all this time around.

I want absolutely everything in this collection... argh better start saving my pennies!

Running off to the Zimmermann show, but thought i'd post what i'm wearing today.
