Westfield Project Be Styled

Posted on March 18th, 2010

I had such an amazing day! I was invited to Westfield Chermside’s Project Be Styled challenge, where they got a handful of QUT fashion students to style an outfit using Westfield products. The results were mind blowing. I love it when creative people can pull together different pieces that you would have never considered.

It also instilled the key trends of Autumn/Winter, my favourites being the tailored pant with a rolled up cuff, removable shoulder pieces from Cue (I’m told you can also place these on as a broach or in your hair –I love multi-functional items), and layering - in particular lots of necklaces, bracelets and rings.

ps. the super stylish man behind the bling is final year QUT fashion student Luke Sarra. I've never been more envious of a guy!

It also gave me a chance to meet with some of Brisbane’s best. I finally got to meet Jaharn from Vintage Lover, Rach from Wandering Babcia and Jess from Wide Awake Thoughts who is just lovely. I’ll also post up a bit later some photos Jess took today as well. If you don’t already follow these girl’s blogs definitely start too. Jess’s style is amazing, having worked for Sass and Bide and now for Frock Shop this one definitely knows how to dress. xox
